Ayade celebrated in Ogoja, as new primary health facility and solarised borehole gets commissioned

No fewer than 10,000 residents of Ekajuk community of Ogoja Local Government Area of Cross River State will benefit from quality healthcare services at the recently commissioned Primary healthcare center in the area facilitated by Community Social Development Programme ( CSDP), Primary Health care Development Agency and the community NegroidHaven has learnt.

The Center is one of many centres built to provide quality Healthcare to the people by the State Government and supported by Partners.

Commissioning the facility, Dr Betta Edu stated that the newly opened health centre will champion the reduction of maternal new born and child mortality in the community and provide clean water for the communities around.

According to her Ayade's government is a people's centered and successful government because it placed priority on the health care of its citizen. Sen Ben Ayade has changed the health landscape by ensuring timely payment of Health workers as well as provision of quality and affordable healthcare to every Cross Riverians through Ayade care scheme.

We have a pro-health Governor who has been so supportive to the attainment of Universal Health coverage in Cross River State.

She said the newly opened health facility will help curb the menace of traditional birth attendants and herbalist patronage in the area, the solar water borehole will provide clean portable water for the entire village.  She  assured them that the purpose of the facility will not be defeated.

Dr Edu who carried out the Hand washing campaign in the community, taught the children and mothers how to wash their hands to prevent diseases. She  tasked women and everyone in Ekajuk and neighboring communities to make use of the health center and stop patronizing herbal homes for treatment.
Also Speaking, the representative of the Ekajuk community thanked the State Government CSDA and every partners of the project for  guaranteeing quality healthcare in the region. He noted that the community will take full advantage of the facility by regularly mobilizing and making use of the center. He also rationed the timing of water use at the facility stating that the entire village can fetch water at the health centre between 12noon and 5pm only.

The entire community was overwhelmed with dancing,  joy and the sang praised of Governor Ben Ayade as they witness the newly commissioned Health Center in style.
