"Paul's politics was anchored on the philosophy that it can be played without bitterness and this was exemplified by his popular Alias 'Paul For All  and All For Paul'  which the general public knew him for until his death.

"I'm devastated not only because we have lost a worthy Cross Riverian, a  two term former member of House of Representatives, a former NDDC Commissioner, a fellow Obudu man and until recently a  governorship aspirant, but because I have lost a soulmate with whom I shared a common political philosophy; politics with ethics," the statement quoted the governor.
